Vara Optical is an independent eyewear design house from South London, taking inspiration from the streets, experiences and soundtracks of our beloved city/ends London.
We stand against mass production. Which is why our frames are produced in limited batches, a testament to our commitment to sustainability and quality. All whilst limiting the styles in our collection to offer curated silhouettes, and not 100's of mass produced styles.

Drawing inspiration from London and luxury detailing: our signature custom hardware consists of a hexagon wirecore, front hexagon rivet and custom 5 barrel hinges which follows the angles of the wirecore. As well as the signature temple tips inspired by the iconic London corner shop.
No compromise on material or quality
Our optical and sunglasses are handmade through an intricate 80-step production process, meticulously crafted using Italian Mazzucchelli acetate and/or space grade titanium over a period of 90 days, ensuring attention to detail and superior craftsmanship. Finished with a polish by hand.
Why Mazzuchelli Italian acetate? It is well known to be the finest in durability, longevity and sustainability.
